Luanda – Experts from Angola, UK, US, Brazil, East Timor and Mozambique, will analyse the scenario of oil, gas and renewable energy on Wednesday.

Sponsored by PetroAngola company, the three-day International Conference will bring together 40 national and foreign companies in the country’s capital, Luanda.

 

The event will present the opportunities, innovation and the combined efforts

to ensure development and progress in the sector of energy.

 

The head of the Executive Commission of PetroAngola, Patrício Wanderley, told ANGOP that conditions have been created for the event in which Angola will present its position in the energy scenario, in permanent evolution.

 

"There is high expectation and some foreign guests have already reached the country to attend the event, which will bring together more than 1,200 participants…," he said.

 

 

The forum also plans to explore the availability and facilities for the investments.

 

"We invite all operating companies, service providers, entrepreneurs and professionals from the oil and energy sectors to participate in this unique business and networking platform for the national oil industry," Wanderley said.

 

Taking place under the theme "Shaping The Angolan Energy Sector", the International Conference on Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy will award, on the last day (October 29th), some companies and figures of the sector, during an awards gala.

 

The challenges of bidding for oil blocks for oil producing countries, the Angolan fiscal regime for "oil & gas", the competitiveness of the Angolan oil industry, the challenges of energy transition, in the case of Angola, are part of the several scheduled themes.
