Benguela - At least eighty national companies from the commerce and industry sectors and 30 cattle breeders are participating, from 27 to 30 of the current month, in the Ombaka stadium, in the 10th edition of the Benguela International Fair, ANGOP learned Wednesday.

Bruno Albernaz, Chairman of the Administration Council of Arena Eventos, organiser of the fair, told ANGOP that although the most important companies are still the mentioned branches, the participation of national production companies is increasingly accentuated, with a total of 10 companies participating in this edition.

National products from various segments, such as food, beverages, clothing, construction, fisheries, and international products to support national production, such as fertilisers and other agricultural inputs, agricultural and construction machinery, may be seen daily at the various stands, from 11am to 6pm.

"We are creating the possible conditions so that once again this business platform serves to create greater dynamics in the economic sector of the southern region of Angola, although this year without the direct participation of foreign companies," said Bruno Albernaz.

According to the source, the country and the world are going through difficult times, aggravated by the Covid-19 pandemic, but even so the 10th edition of the fair, despite not having a larger number of participants in relation to past editions, due to limitations, has everything to be a success.
