Malanje - The second edition of the Countryside Fair of Kiwaba Nzoji municipality, northern Malanje province, started today (Friday), in the locality, aiming at exposing the agricultural potentialities of the region.

Named "Nzoji", the two-day display is promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning and is aimed at attracting investors of the agro-livestock sector, since the municipality has arable lands open to businessmen.

In the event, among other typical products of the region, cassava and its byproducts, sweet potato and sour potato, citrus fruits, maize, beans and various fruits are exhibited, with a view to publicising and commercialising them.

The fair culminated with a workshop on "Dialogue and development challenges of Kiwaba Nzoji", which addressed aspects related to local economy and potentialities, in order to seek ways for progress and increase production in the municipality.

At the occasion, the governor of Malanje, Norberto dos Santos "Kwata Kanawa", highlighted the province's potentials in this domain, having pointed out the benefits of the Programme of Support to Production, Export Diversification and Import Substitution (Prodesi).
