Ndalatando – The first phase of the work on the Samba Cajú/Banga road, with 25 kilometers already paved, will be completed in December this year, announced this Saturday, in Ndalatando City, the person responsible for the project, Francisco Pinto.

The project, budgeted at 39.3 billion kwanzas, covers 46 kilometers.

Francisco Pinto, linked to the Griner company, spoke to the press about the two-day working visit to the province by the minister of Public Works, Urbanisation and Housing, Carlos Alberto dos Santos, having reported that seven bridges and 144 hydraulic crossings had already been built.

The works also include the construction of 50 hydraulic crossings and seven bridges measuring 10 to 25 meters in length. The works present a physical execution of 48 percent and a financial execution of 91 percent.

The minister of Public Works, Urbanisation and Housing, Carlos dos Santos, began by assessing the technical condition of the bridge over the river Lucala 1, on Estrada Nacional 230, in the municipality with the same name. The bridge has cracks and dislocation of metal plates, whose rehabilitation, according to the minister, appears “urgent”, due to the road flow that occurs on the 230 National Road.

In this field visit, the minister is being accompanied by the province's governor, João Gaspar Diogo.
