SODIAM EP runs diamond auction

Luanda - National Diamond Company, SODIAM EP has announced plans to auction batches of diamonds on November 15.

In total, 43 precious stones are expected to be sold, through an electronic process that involves two phases.

The first phase consists of a viewing assignment running from October 24th to November 14th, at the company's headquarters.

While the second stage of the bidding process is due on November 15, states a press note reached Angop.

The added that the auction is reserved for customers registered by SODIAM and who have experience in trading of special stones.

The batches are made up of seven (7) special stones of +10.8 carats from the production of LULO, including one (1) pink diamond of 170.20 carats (Rosa do Lulo), three (3) stones of 112 carats at 160 carats and another three, weighing between 45 carats and 65 carats.

They also involve twenty-seven (27) special stones of +10.8 carats from the production of CATOCA, including one (1) diamond of 104.7 carats, and several lots weighing between 20 carats and 40 carats.

There are also nine (9) special stones of +10.8 carats from the LUELE production, including several batches, weighing between 20 and 40 carats.

As part of the auction, a detailed participation package will later be provided to participants, who are required to show a negative PCR test, conducted 72 hours before entering Angola.

SODIAM, founded in 1999, is a state-owned company responsible for selling Angola's diamond production.
