Standard Bank Angola increases share capital

Luanda - Standard Bank Angola (SBA) increased its share capital to 21 billion Kwanzas (25.3 million US dollars) in compliance with the National Bank of Angola (BNA) instruction to adjust the minimum value of share capital, ANGOP has learnt.

The capital increase follows the instructions of the central bank, which stipulated that bank institutions should maintain 15 billion Kwanzas (18.1 million US dollars) , the minimum share capital.

According to the SBA's Executive President, Luís Teles, the bank is working to consolidate its presence as a reference institution in the market.

Standard Bank has played an important role in supporting Angola's growth.
