Price change rate increases by 0.66% in November

Luanda - The Consumer Price Index in the province of Luanda recorded a 2.14% change in October and November 2020.

Compared to the variation of the same period, November 2019, there was an increase in the current rate of change of 0.66 percent.

Releasing the statistics, the National Statistics Institute (INE) mentioned “Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages” as having recorded the highest price rise, stood at 2.59%.

Price increases were also seen in the “Health” and “Clothing and Footwear” classes, with 2.19% each, and  2.16 % for “Hotels, Cafes and Restaurants”.  

Contribution by expense class

During the above period, the “Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages” class contributed most to the increase in the general price level in Luanda, with 1.16 percent.

Followed by the “Miscellaneous Goods and Services,“ Clothing and Footwear ”,“ Furniture, Equipment.
