AGT promotes training on IRT and VAT in Zaire province

M'banza Kongo – Thirty-five members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mbanza Congo, Zaire province, benefited, last Wednesday, from training on Industrial Tax (II), Labor Income Tax (IRT), Value Added TAx (VAT) and Property Tax (IP).

The training action, promoted by the General Tax Administration (AGT), aims the strengthening of tax literacy of economic agents, within the scope of this institution's National Education and Tax Citizenship Plan.

In this regard, the head of Section, Registration and Collection of the M’banza Kongo Tax Office, João Bimba, said that seminars of this kind allow citizens to raise and encourage the culture of paying taxes.

He recognized the existence of some interest on the part of local taxpayers in fulfilling their tax obligations.

In turn, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the province of Zaire, Manuel Katendi, was satisfied with the said seminar and assured that the class will continue to comply with the payment of taxes.

Only members of the province's main municipality, M'banza Kongo, participated in the training, an action that will cover the remaining municipalities.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Zaire has around 200 members, distributed across the six municipalities of this province. DMN/PMV/QCB/CF/DOJ
