Ondjiva - At least 1,861 teachers in several specialities were trained, over the last five years, at the Ondjiva Teachers School "Dr. António Agostinho Neto", in Cunene province.
The coordinator of the Ondjiva Teachers School Management Commission, Paulino Mussili, said to ANGOP on the sidelines of a ceremony to award diplomas and certificates to 306 finalists.
He said that the finalists attended, for four years, the courses of primary education, Portuguese and English language, geography/history, biology/chemistry, mathematics/physics, and physical education.
Paulino Mussili said that the results of the institution demonstrate satisfactory indicators in what is its contribution in the formation of man and in the quality of education in the province.
For her part, the head of the department for general education in Cunene, Alcina Zeca, highlighted the school's commitment to training competent teachers who contribute to the socio-economic development of the country and the province in particular.
