Soyo - The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology Innovation (MESCTI) is currently engaged in the reorganisation of administrative, academic and scientific management of the higher education institutions, the secretary of State for Higher Education, Eugénio da Silva, said Tuesday.
Speaking at the presentation of the new board of directors of the Polytechnic Institute of Soyo City, the official said in the past few years, managers of higher education institutions all over the country were upgraded aiming for to adequate management of these institutions.
The aim of this new dynamic, Silva said, is to place the higher education institutions in the country at the highest levels in terms of teaching and scientific research.
"The Ministry's objective is to ensure quality training of professionals, as well as to promote scientific research in all higher education institutions", the official stressed.
Angola currently has 98 higher education institutions, 28 public and 70 private.
