Malanje - Some 2. 4 million children aged under six years of age benefit from the All United for Early Childhood (TUPPI) pilot project in five of the country’s 18 provinces, since 2018.
The community nature initiative, jointly sponsored by Education Ministry and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), is meant to encourage habits and skills in preschool age minors based in children's centers.
So far, joined the project are children from the provinces of Huíla, Uíge, Moxico, Cunene and Luanda.
The information was released Tuesday by the national coordinator of TUPPI, Nelsy Monreza, during an opening ceremony of the training on early childhood education addressed to technicians from the education, social action, agriculture and interior sectors.
The technicians will replicate the information to the community agents in order to boost the project.
The official announced plans to cover the remaining 13 provinces by the end of the year, but she would not reveal the number of the children that will benefit from the project.
In addition to Malanje, technicians from the provinces of Bengo and Huambo are also receiving training.
