Luanda - The Angolan Youth Literature Brigade (BJLA) Thursday pays tribute to writer Cremilda de Lima, with a literary round of traditional African tales around the bonfire.
According to a press release issued by BJLA to which ANGOP had access today, Monday, besides the homage to Cremilda de Lima, who has an enviable life and literary career, there will be a cultural gathering to salute the International Day of Children's Literature, Peace and Youth.
The act will count on the performances of writers Carlos Pedro, Soraia Mendes, Kanguimbu Ananás, Áurio Quicunga, Zulini Bumba and Marta Santos, as well as journalist and Angolan culture lover Aminata Goubel.
Those who attend the event will also reflect on "The importance of oral literature in the transmission of moral, civic and cultural values to young people", theme to be addressed by the Vice-Dean for Scientific Affairs of the Faculty of Humanities, Petelo Nguinamau.
Maria Cremilda Martins Fernandes Alves de Lima was born in Luanda on March 25, 1940.
She did her Primary Teaching Course at the 1st School that opened in Angola for the training of teachers, in 1962/1963 in Bié and 1963/1964, in Luanda.
