Huambo - Four sovereigns were deposed from their thrones, in the last two years, in the province of Huambo, for alleged infractions that harm the moral order and the cultural traditions of the Ovimbundu.
These are the then kings Ekuikui IV (Bailundo), Lourenço Kangoma (Sambo), Tchongolola (Huambo) and Lucas Mussente (Chiyaka).
Among the alleged infractions is the resolution of cases of witchcraft for business purposes, concentration of power, illegal sale of plots of land of the population, in addition to disposing of the functional and traditional structures of the respective courts.
