Carnival in Lunda Norte in fair format

Dundo – The 2021 Carnival edition in eastern Lunda Norte will be held in the format of a fair with exhibition of clothing and musical instruments with the participation of 14 adult groups, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the director of the provincial office for Culture, Youth, Tourism and Sports, Esmeralda Maximata, the members of the jury will analyze the quality of the musical instruments, costumes and songs that will be exhibited at the fair that will mark the 2021 edition of Carnival.

The first three groups with best exhibition will share the prize of 1 million kwanzas, in the fair, taking place from 13 to 16 of February, individual and collective figures will be honored with certificates of merit for their contribution and participation in Carnival for years.

The title in the children class is held by the group Wesseke Utale, from Chitato municipality, while in the adult class Txaco Txa Ucokwe, also from Chitato, is the adult champion.
