Luanda - The complete poetic work of writer Agostinho Neto translated into Turkish language was launched on Thursday in Ankara, capital of Turkey, in an initiative of the António Agostinho Neto Foundation (FAN) with the collaboration of the Angolan embassy.

The package includes the works "Sacred Hope", "The Impossible Renunciation" and "Dawn".

In this regard, the Angolan ambassador to Turkey, José Patrício, said that in this way the poetic dimension of the Founder of the Angolan Nation continued to expand across borders, gaining greater universality and timelessness.

"Agostinho Neto's complete poetic work is now part of the bibliographical collection of the country's most erudite academies and centres, being a pioneer in the inauguration of this cultural bridge between Angola and Turkey," he said.

"Agostinho Neto, doctor, nationalist and poet, also used the strength of his words and his aesthetics in poetry as a weapon of revolt, denunciation and mobilization of the Angolan people until National Independence on 11 November 1975," he said.
