Luanda – The international jazz festival on Friday brought together lovers of this musical style to mark the International Jazz Day with renowned national and international musicians.
The show, organized by Unesco and the Angolan Government, opened by the American School band that interpreted the track "Meninos do Huambo", by Rui Minga, was marked by the performances of the Angolans Totó, Filipe Mukenga, Anabela Aya, accompanied by the band Etokeko Jazz Project.
Esperança Mirakiza, a young woman who is beginning to take her first steps in this musical style performed with her firm and melodic voice, surprising the public present.
The Mozambican group As Maria let out their voice to tell the more than fifty people present that the country was well represented at the international festival, which is in its 10th edition.
One of the highlights was the presentation of the trio formed by the Brazilian Yamandu Costa, the Portuguese Luís Guerreiro and the Argentinean Martín Suede who, in approximately 25 minutes, enchanted with the sound of their instruments.
