Luanda - The Angolan musician Filipe Mukenga will hold on October 8, in Luanda, an intimate concert, as part of the "Jazz In" project.
Besides the singer's performance, the event will be marked by an exhibition of several plastic artists.
According to Adriano Guimarães, organizer of the event, the show marks the beginning of a new era for the project and is intended to raise the name of Angolan artists in the world.
The concert will be broadcast simultaneously in the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (except Brazil), and South Africa.
Filipe Mukenga was born in Luanda on September 7, 1949. Singer and composer influenced by pop, rock, blues and soul music, he recorded his first album, "Novo Som", in 1990.
He also collaborates in one of the themes of the album "Mingos & Os Samurais" by Rui Veloso.
"Kianda Kianda", his second album recorded in Paris for the Lusáfrica label, was released in 1994.
In 1996, the lyric-musical entitled "O Canto da Sereia: o Encanto" was recorded, in which he is co-author with Filipe Zau.
Other singers present in the record were Carlos Burity, Katila Mingas, Paulo Flores, Dino, Eduardo Paim and Fernando Tordo.
The singer also collaborated in the record of "Luanda Lua e Mulher" by Filipe Zau.
