Saurimo – The governor of the eastern Lunda Sul province Daniel Neto urged Friday young people to focus on literature and reading in order to contribute to dissemination of cultural identity.
Daniel Neto was delivering a speech on the sidelines of a ceremony to launch the works of writers Bula Mbungue and Kapaxe.
He added that reading is the only way to have more books with different topics in the national market.
The governor said he was pleased to know that the literary works discuss the history of the Lunda people, thus taking the world to the reality of the eastern region.
Bula Mbungue made available to the public 500 books.
Bula Mbungue is literary pseudonym of João de Figueiredo Alberto Wassamby.
Born in Saurimo, Lunda Sul, Mbungue is journalist by profession.
