Luanda - The investment of young people and the private sector in the national tourism sector to boost and encourage the practice of domestic and foreign tourism in the country was encouraged Friday in Luanda, by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Hélder Marcelino.
He said this during the inauguration of the first gastronomic and cultural exhibition, stressing that in this sense it is the youths and the private sector that have to diagnose the market opportunities in order to invest in tourism, so that with the flow of visitors (national and foreign) they can generate employment.
He said it was important to have information about the tourism resources and potential available in Angola, the investment needs and to articulate with other sectors able to support young people, especially in what is their main need, such as funding, so that they can identify their investment opportunities.
He said it was necessary to make public investments in the creation of basic infrastructures such as roads, electricity, drinking water, among others, so that tourists could move around freely and carry out their leisure activities without difficulty.
Regarding the one-day event, he said that the aim of the event was to create networking between the entrepreneurial communities, mainly and the countries represented by the embassies, to break down the barrier of access for investors.
The sample includes 30 exhibitors and representatives from 27 embassies, highlighting the United States, Brazil, Portugal, Ghana, Serbia, Ecuador, Italy, Spain and Sao Tome and Principe.
The event includes fairs, space for music, dance, food, drinks, art, services and products.
