Saurimo - Musicians of the eastern Lunda Sul province praised on Monday, the new format of the national radio Top of Most Loved, for being more inclusive, comprehensive and offering opportunities to artists from various regions.

Speaking to ANGOP about the new format, the musician Mbimbi Show said that it congregates the artists on a single stage, creating opportunities for exchange of experience.

Show also pointed out as an advantage the possibility of expansion of folk music of the Chokwe region, as well as the disclosure of the cultural identity of each people, contrary to past editions.

In his turn, the musician Amaro de Jesus said this will promote music in the country and abroad, hence the new voting format is more comprehensive and will contribute to the discovery of new talents.

The artist suggests that the awarding is not only limited to monetary values, but also in material goods, since many artists face numerous difficulties, from lack of housing to transportation.

The Top of the Most Loved is a cultural initiative of the National Radio of Angola (RNA-EP), which aims to reward the songs of individual singers or bands, most listened on its channels, involving listeners by voting through a selection process of the songs in competition.
