Luanda- Angolan writer António José Neves da Rocha presented his most recent book entitled "Angola in the Orbit of the Southern African Development Community" (SADC) in Havana (Cuba) on Thursday.
The event took place during the 32nd edition of the Havana International Book Fair, before an audience of Angolans and Cubans, including the Angolan ambassador to Cuba, Maria Cândida Pereira Teixeira.
In the book, the author, using simple and direct language, studies, analyses and demonstrates the relevance of the full integration of the Angolan economy into the SADC, through three fundamental aspects.
He also evaluates the theoretical foundations of regional economic integration and its particularities in Africa, examines the SADC economic integration process, its limits and possibilities, as well as Angola's inclusion in the community.
SADC is an intergovernmental organization created in 1992 and dedicated to socio-economic cooperation, integration and cooperation in political and security matters, of the countries of Southern Africa.
South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Seychelles, Eswatini, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe are members of the organization.

António José Neves da Rocha, Deputy Defence Attaché at the Angolan Embassy in Cuba, holds a master's degree in International Relations from the Raúl Roa Garcia Higher Institute of International Relations in Cuba.
He is the author of several articles published in the Revista Cubana de Economia Internacional of the Centro Internacional de Investigaciones Económicas (CIEI), Revista World Economy Topics of the Centro de Investigaciones de Economía Mundial (CIEM) and the Revista Economia y Desarrollo of the University of Havana.
He is currently a PhD candidate in Economic Sciences at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Havana.LIN/ART/TED/AMP
