Portugal: Angolan anthology launched in Braga

Luanda - The Guerra e Paz books publisher presented on Sunday in Braga, Portugal, the anthology entitled “Between the Moon, Chaos and Silence: the Flower", authored by the Angolan writers Irene Guerra Marques and Carlos Ferreira.

The work is one of the most recent to appear on the National Reading Plan's list of recommendations, an initiative that promotes the nobility of the book among teachers, students and adult readers.

According to the publisher's note, when reading the anthology, one can take an enchanting journey through a rich heritage of several centuries in the history of Angolan literature.

"It is the most complete anthology of Angolan poetry ever published and offers a systematic, plural and rich portrait of Angola's admirable literary heritage to Portuguese-speaking readers around the world," says the note.
