Luanda - The Republic of Venezuela is to hold the 7th Cultural Festival with the Peoples of Africa, in virtual format, on May 25, in Caracas, the ambassador of that Latin American country to Angola, Marlon Labrador, told ANGOP.
The Venezuelan diplomat said the aim is to associate the initiative to the celebrations of May 25, the day dedicated to Africa.
The festival, to be held under the slogan "Africa and Venezuela: Dance and Song for Unity," is expected to include the participation of artists from different cultural manifestations, such as literature, poetry, music, dance, painting and plastic arts.
According to the diplomat, the purpose of the festival is to strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between Venezuela and African countries, the reason why he invites the culture makers of Angola to participate in the event.
Marlon Labrador added that those interested in participating in the event should send their works through diplomatic channels to the embassy.
"We are inviting artists of reference in Angola to participate. As the pandemic situation is complicating the displacement process, we will do it in a virtual format", said the Venezuelan diplomat.
