Governor ensures conclusion of Cine Clube works

Mbanza Kongo – The governor of Zaire Pedro Makita Armando Júlia guaranteed Thursday in Mbanza Kongo that the rehabilitation works of the Cine Club will be resumed.

Speaking at a meeting with young people during the work visit of the minister of Youth and Sports Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto, the governor of Zaire revealed that he requested an amount of two billion Kwanzas from the Government for this purpose.

The governor reminded that the rehabilitation of this cultural and sports infrastructure started in February 2018 and would end with the modernization of the movie theater and the adjacent sports field.

While it is expecting the answer from the Government, according to the governor, the officials are interacting also with the oil and gas companies that operate in the region to support the conclusion of the works.

Pedro Makita highlighted in the occasion that the work culminated with the upgrading and modernization of the Agostinho Neto Square in Mbanza Congo that hosted in 2018 the opening act of the first edition of the International Kongo Culture Festival (Festikongo).
