Luanda - The Permanent Representative of Angola to the International Organizations in Italy, Fátima Jardim, held this Thursday in Rome, a working meeting with her Cuban counterpart, Rodriguez Ruiz, to discuss the reinforcement of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The meeting, an initiative of the Angolan diplomat, allowed to reinforce the cooperation relations between the Diplomatic Missions of the two countries in Rome (Italy), as well as to establish a dialogue framework for the identification of cooperation areas of common interest.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in intensifying cooperation ties in various areas, and Cuba offered to establish contacts for the creation of projects in the framework of bilateral, multilateral and triangular cooperation.
In the multilateral field, they discussed, among other issues, Cuba's Strategic Plan, approved by the WFP (World Food Programme) Board of Directors in its June 2021 session, as well as the strategic positioning of the two countries regarding important dossiers.
Fátima Jardim has been Angola's ambassador to Italy and to the United Nations agencies (FAO, FIDA and WFP) since 2019.
