Luanda - With the candidates for President of the Republic increasingly committed to the process, the eight contending political parties for the general elections on 24 August continued their door-to door canvassing for voters.
Tuesday (02) is mainly reserved for the heads of the party’s lists to preside over political rallies across the country, with focus on marches, door-to-door mobilisations, registration of delegates and recruitment of the militants.
PHA
Under her Humanist Party of Angola (PHA)’s programme, the leader Florbela Malaquias, who is determined to tour through the country's 18 provinces, this Tuesday will work in the central Huambo province to speak to militants, sympathizers and undecided about their participation in the process.
After eight days of campaigning, the only female candidate for President of the Republic has already worked in Cuando Cubango, Bié, Cunene, Cuanza Sul, Huíla, Namibe and Luanda.
P-NJANGO
For this week, the Nationalist Party for Justice in Angola has planned to deploy simultaneously in several neighborhoods, in a door-to-door campaign, to disseminate the colours and image of leader Dinho Chingunji, as well as appealing for the vote in his favour.
In the meantime, P-NJANGO will continue with the dissemination of the party's symbols and purposes, in its airtime slot on National Radio of Angola and Public Television of Angola, similarly to the other parties competing in the election.
UNITA
After Huambo, Cunene, Huíla and Luanda, the president of the National Union for the Independence of Angola, Adalberto Costa Júnior, went to Bié province to, among other actions, interact with the local electorate during a rally.
Still this Tuesday (02), the political organisation is due to meet at 04:00 pm at Complexo Sovismo, in Viana municipality, to take stock of the activities carried out so far.
In the eastern Lunda Norte province, UNITA will hunt for votes in the municipality of Lóvua.
FNLA
The National Liberation Front of Angola proposes to present its governance programme and electoral manifesto in Mbanza Kongo, Zaire province and Lunda Sul, where it will also hold a march.
CASA-CE
Among other activities, taking place all over the country, the Broad Convergence for the Salvation of Angola – Electoral Coalition will hunt votes in the municipality of Lucapa, Lunda Norte, and Saurimo (Lunda Sul).
APN
Contrary to all the other contenders, the National Patriotic Alliance does not have any activities scheduled, but preparing a delegation to Bengo on Wednesday, under its leader, Quintino Moreira.
PRS
After two days of work in Moxico, where it officially opened its campaign on Saturday, the Social Renewal Party focuses on the province of Lunda Sul, in which it will carry out marches, door-to-door mobilisation and a mass rally.
Under the leadership of its candidate for President of the Republic, Benedito Daniel, this political organisation will present the main axes of its governance, in case of victory, and continue with the accreditation of its list delegates.
The political party will also conduct a similar event in the province of Zaire.
MPLA
The MPLA Party has as major agendas the mass events that President João Lourenço will chair in Dundo, eastern Lunda Norte province, and his vice president Luísa Damião, in Ondjuva, Cunene.
In the continuation of its activities in the country's capital, the National Directorate of the Press Office of MPLA will present the manifesto and proposed governance programme of the party at Journalist training Centre (CEFOJOR) in Luanda.
In Lunda Sul, the party will continue to persuade the local population to vote for his programme.
