Luanda – Political parties running for the August 24 elections held several rallies on Saturday, with the aim to disclose their governance programmes for the 2022 to 2027 quinquennium.
PHA
The president of the Humanist Party of Angola (PHA), Florbela Malaquias, said in Luena, Moxico Province, that she is confident about her party’s governance programme having praised the friendly attitude of voters.
Speaking to the press, the PHA leader said the governance programme her party is proposing focuses on increasing the humanization of the country.
P-NJANGO
The Nationalist Party for Justice in Angola (P-NJANGO) officially opened its campaign on Saturday with a march through the city of Ndalatando, capital of Cuanza Norte Province.
UNITA
The presidential candidate, Adalberto Costa Júnior, reaffirmed Saturday the need to respect political differences.
"We’ll treat with respect our political opponents if we win the elections (on August 24)", reiterated Adalberto Costa Júnior, in a mass rally held in Talatona (Luanda), attended by supporters and friends of his party.
FNLA
The FNLA presidential candidate, Nimi a Simbi, promised Saturday, in Malanje, a government based on meritocracy and inclusion.
The candidate, who was speaking in a mass rally at Xawande market, said that in case of victory, FNLA will not exclude competent cadres of the country in implementing its governmance programme, regardless of political afilliaction.
CASA-CE
The Broad Convergence for the Salvation of Angola - Electoral Coalition (CASA-CE) said it vows to create a government with ministerial separation between the agriculture and fishing sectors, in case of victory in the general elections of the 24th of this month.
Speaking in a mass rally in Porto Amboim, Cuanza Sul Province, the CASA-CE vice-president, Alexandre Sebastião André, pointed out that "agriculture and fishing are two giants that need special attention".
APN
The leader of the National Patriotic Alliance (APN), Quintino Moreira, promised, in Luanda, the first job "without any requirement of professional experience", in case he wins the elections.
PRS
The Social Renewal Party (PRS) promised Saturday in Luanda to fight for the regular and permanent distribution of drinking water to urban and rural population of Angola, should it win the elections.
Speaking during the airtime at National Radio of Angola (RNA), PRS leader Benedito Daniel said he will work tirelessly so that water can reach the homes of all citizens.
MPLA
In a mass rally in Uige Province, MPLA's leader, João Lourenço, defended, among other actions, the increase of coffee production, to create surplus for export and foreign exchange revenue.
The MPLA leader considered coffee an important source of wealth for Angolan families and for the country, which once held the title of one of the largest exporters of the product.
