Luanda - The ruling MPLA Political Bureau this Friday encouraged the Angolan Government to continue with measures to mitigate the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the lives of families and businesses.
According to the final statement of this year's first regular meeting, which approved the MPLA's political agenda for 2021, the members of the Political Bureau welcomed the promotion of the monthly debate in the National Assembly on combating impunity, as a factor for good governance.
The MPLA's political agenda for the year 2021 will be publicly presented at the end of this month in Bié province.
Guided by the party's president, João Lourenço, the meeting also encouraged the Government to continue with the fight against corruption and other harmful practices, which jeopardize the political, economic and social stability of the country.
The members of the BP approved the candidacy of José Carvalho da Rocha to the post of first provincial secretary of MPLA in Uige, in an extraordinary conference to be held next February.
They also encouraged the mobilisation of militants and supporters of the Angolan Women's Organisation (OMA) to take part in activities relating to the 7th ordinary congress of the OMA, to be held from 25 to 27 March, in Luanda.
