Cabinda - Deputy Attorney General João Luís Coelho started Monday (18) a working visit to the northern Cabinda province to control, inspect and ensure productivity statistics of the Public Prosecutor's Office in the region.
João Luís Coelho held a brief meeting with the governor of Cabinda, Marcos Alexandre Nhunga, from whom he received information about the socio-economic and political situation in the province.
The coordinator of the northern judicial region of the PGR (Luanda, Bengo and Cabinda), also met, behind closed doors, with prosecutors in the province.
Angop learnt that the issues related to the degree of compliance with the actions of each prosecutor were addressed for a better assessment, in terms of statistics and productivity.
João Luis Coelho will also give two lectures in Cabinda, namely, on "Interrogation methods for defendants" and "Good practices in procedural instruction and inadequacies or efficiencies in preparatory instruction".
Visits to the Civil and Yabi prisons are also part of the deputy Attorney General’s agenda, aimed to assess the condition of the prison population as well as the fulfillment of the sentences applied.
The PGR in Cabinda is represented in the 4 municipalities of the province, namely Cabinda-headquarters, Cacongo, Buco-Zau and Belize.
