Luanda – Anti-doping Act in sports was analysed Tuesday during the Cabinet Council’s session, chaired by president João Lourenço.
The Draft Law, to be submitted to the National Assembly for approval is, aims to adopt the anti-doping international standards applicable in the Angola legislation.
The intention is to harmonise the ordinary legislation in force with the International Convention and the World Anti-Doping Code.
Tuesday session also decided on lifting the cordon sanitaire imposed to Luanda province, as part of measures to fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
Update of electoral registration process was also analysed at the session, with the first phase running from September to December this current year.
While the second phase covering January to March 2022, including the national citizens residing abroad.
In the field of justice and human rights, the meeting approved a memorandum on the process of the installation of the services for the issuing identity card in the diplomatic and consular missions as well as the expansion and the collection of data and attribution of the national identification document in the country.
The Council also approved the organic statutes of ten universities and eight public institutes and changed the legal regime related to the initial training for the kindergarten teachers and the primary and secondary teachers.
The Cabinet was informed about the structuring sanitation projects for Luanda province, focused on the treatment of solid waste, as well as information regarding the preparation of the institutionalisation of one stop public service counter in the municipal, communal and districts administrations.
As for the foreign policy, the Cabinet Council approved the agreements with the Turkey on the air services, the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments, exemption of visa in diplomatic, service and special passports.
The participants also learnt of the agreements among the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Angola and Turkey and Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the mechanisms for political consultation and the field of mineral resources, hydrocarbons, energy and water between the Angolan and Turkish governments.
The memorandum is extensive to the fields of the support for micro, small and medium companies, economy, planning and finance and the cooperation between the Angolan Public Television and the Turkey's counterpart.
It also analysed the Memorandum related to the political agreement between Angola and Belgium.
The press note highlights also that Angola and Cuba agreed on the exemption of the properties rent payment destined to the respective diplomatic missions.
