Ramiros - Over 105 trainers in Electoral Civic Education, at the level of Luanda province, started being trained as of today, Monday, by the National Electoral Commission, in Benfica district, in Luanda, with a view to the general elections on 24 August.
The event, which is expected to last three days, aims to provide the agents of electoral civic education with the content of the Manual on the General Elections.
The event will cover themes such as "Organs of Electoral Administration", "Campaigns and electoral civic education agents and their phases", "The Constitution and Promotion of Polling Stations", "Supervision and Electoral Observation", and "Delegates of the list and Electoral Observers".
Speaking to the press on the sidelines of the meeting, the president of the Provincial Electoral Commission (CPE), Afonso Félix Gongo, stressed the importance of this action with the trainers, whose mission is to train other electoral agents at the level of municipalities, districts or communes, to sensitise and mobilise the population on the right to vote.
He made it known that in Luanda, each polling station will have four members, according to the mapping currently being concluded, as opposed to the previous elections that comprised four members.
