Cuito - Religious leaders in the central Bié Province on Wednesday praised the civic way in which the voting process of the fifth elections in Angola took place and reiterated the calls for the same behaviour in the announcement of the electoral results.
Speaking to ANGOP, the bishop of Bié Diocese, Dom José Nambi, praised the orderly way in which the voters flocked to the polls and called on everyone to have the same type of conduct during the announcement of the results.
The same opinion is shared by the provincial pastor of the Evangelical Church of the Brethren in Angola (IEIA), Raimundo Isidro, who welcomes the tranquillity and civity shown by voters, but urged the need to maintain the same focus in the upcoming days.
The secretary of the Evangelical Congregational Church of Angola (IECA), Martinho Sonbjamba, spoke about the importance of citizens freely choosing the future leaders of the country.
Meanwhile, Bié Province registered 783,684 voters for the 861 polling stations.
