Luanda - The outgoing ambassador of the Republic of Angola to the Federative Republic of Brazil Florêncio de Almeida on Monday bid farewell to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Mauro Viera.
On the occasion, the head of Brazilian diplomacy expressed satisfaction with the current state of political and diplomatic relations between Angola and Brazil and wished the outgoing diplomat success in his next mission.
The Angolan ambassador was recently was honoured by President Lula da Silva, the African Ambassadors Group, the CPLP, SADC, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, the Embassies of Gabon and Portugal in Brazil.
Florêncio de Almeida was in office in Brasília from 2019 to 2023 and also served as Angola's non-resident ambassador to Colombia, Peru, Guyana, Suriname, Chile and Venezuela.
