Luanda - The Minister of State and Head of the Military House of the President of the Republic, Francisco Furtado, reaffirmed this Sunday that the Government is continuing the fight against corruption in order to hold corrupt people judicially responsible and to instil a conscience of better serving the country.
According to the government official, this fight also serves to protect the national wealth, with the purpose of recovering the authority of the institutions, the social order, the morality and the ethics in Angola.
Francisco Furtado was speaking at the meeting of the Defence Ministers Committee of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR).
He explained that the meeting serves to analyse the security situation of the sub-region, taking into account the political and security situation in the Democratic Republics of Congo (DRC) and Central African Republics (CAR), Burundi and South Sudan.
He said that the government was carrying out structural measures focused on diversifying the economy, attracting investment and domestic production of consumer goods.
"The Angolan government is committed to employability, creating more jobs in the health and education sectors to absorb more young people and value human capital," he summarised.
