Luanda - The opposition FNLA has announced plans to restructure its party in municipalities, with a view to facing the challenges that lie ahead, in particular the local and general elections.
Speaking to the press on Saturday, the party's general secretary, Aguiar Laurindo, added that the FNLA will also prioritise participatory leadership for the organisation's growth.
According to the politician, who was speaking at the end of a seminar on local powers, ahead of the party's 59th anniversary, the commitment to the reorganisation of the basic structures aims to give sustainability to the organization's internal affirmation.
"We are committed to achieving positive results in the next electoral elections, so we are going to restructure our grassroots organisations. This 59th anniversary is a source of pride and satisfaction, in the sense of reflecting on the challenges that the party proposes to achieve", he stressed.
As for the seminar, the politician justified that the theme of local authorities is current and very burning for society, which is why the party tried to approach with several specialists.
During the seminar, participants addressed the concept of local elections, their organisation, gradualism, among others.
