Lubango - The current context of the fight against corruption requires continuous training of the judicial magistrates, in order to effectively uphold legality.
This was stated by the governor of Huila, Luís Nunes, at the 1st Annual Meeting on the Balance of Activities carried out by the Attorney General's Office in the southern region, which includes the provinces of Huila, Namibe, Cunene and Cuando-Cubango, taking place Lubango city, capital of southern Huila province.
The two-day meeting is assessing the degree of compliance with the activities planned by the Attorney's General Office in the region in 2020 and planning activities for 2021.
He stressed that the rescue of moral values, the recovery or coercive repatriation of capital and the fight against economic crimes require greater speed and efficiency from the justice sector.
In his turn, the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic, accompanying the Southern Judicial Region, Hernâni Beira Grande, admitted that there are many challenges, especially those related to the fight against corruption and organised crime.
