Huambo - The president of opposition UNITA party, Adalberto Costa Júnior, called last Friday, in central Huambo Province, for the reinforcement of institutional dialogue and social consultation, to end the cases of political intolerance “still existing a little across the country”.

According to the leader of the largest opposition party in Angola, when he opened the second ordinary meeting of the party’s Political Commission at the level of the South-Central region of Angola, it is through frank and open dialogue that confidence and respect will be built for the difference.

For this reason, Adalberto Costa Júnior defended the depoliticisation of state institutions and, therefore, the implementation of state reforms, as indispensable factors to fight poverty and promote economic development.

He also stressed the need for the continuous strengthening of the national reconciliation process to promote social peace. According to the politician, Unita, for being in favour of administrative decentralization, continues to defend the implementation of local governments, insofar as it constitutes one of the factors for the reform of the State.

The event , which closed on Saturday (7),  was attended by Unita’s deputies to the National Assembly and delegates from the provinces of Benguela, Bié, Cuando Cubango, Cuanza Sul, Cunene, Huambo, Huíla and Namibe.

Before the start of the work, the President of Lima, the party’s female wing, Helena Bonguela, appointed and swore in the heads of  organization in the provinces of Benguela, Bié, Cuando Cubango, Cunene, Huambo, Huíla and Namibe.
