Luanda - Angola and Equatorial Guinea agreed to hold the 3rd Meeting of Joint Cooperation Commission in Malabo city, as part of the regular political consultations between the countries.
The decision is expressed in the final communiqué of the 2nd Meeting of Joint Commission for Cooperation between Angola and Equatorial Guinea, held Wednesday in Luanda (Angola).
The document stresses that the Malabo meeting will take place "on a date to be agreed by the established mechanisms".
In the Angolan capital, the parties highlighted the joint efforts to hold the African Union (AU) Extraordinary Summit on Terrorism and Unconstitutional Regime Change in Africa, the source added.
This is a Summit to be held on the 28th of the current month in Malabo.
Still, at the 2nd Meeting of the Angola and Guinea Joint Cooperation Commission, the two countries agreed to implement actions to strengthen cooperation in different areas.
The two States intend to sign agreements for the training of staff, as well as for the production, exploration and trading of hydrocarbons.
Angola and Equatorial Guinea signed, in 2006, a General Cooperation Agreement.
Since 2006, relations between the two countries have gone through different stages of cooperation, being currently more significant in the security, oil, air transport and public order sectors.
