Luanda - The Secretariat of the ruling MPLA party’s Politburo discussed Monday its 2021-political agenda and the process of candidature for the positions of the provincial secretaries of this organisation’s women wing (OMA).
This was during its First Ordinary Meeting chaired by the party’s deputy president Luisa Damião.
The Secretariat also discussed the economic and social situation of the country and the programme of the activities for January and February 2021.
The Politburo members appealed to the female militants to actively attend the major event, ahead of 7th Ordinary Congress of OMA, set for March this year.
The participants also analysed the agenda for the next meeting of the Political Bureau and the issues related to the Party, with stress to the 6th national methodological meeting of working organisation of MPLA.
As for the Covid-19 pandemic, the Secretariat highlighted the Executive measures aimed to halt the eventual circulation of the new strain of the coronavirus in Angola, and urged the people to observe the rules of the State of Public Calamity.
