Luanda - The strengthening of bilateral relations between the MPLA and the Polisario Front topped the audience that the vice-president of the ruling party in Angola, Luísa Damião, granted this Friday to the ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Hamad el Jali Aali.
The Saharawi diplomat informed the press, at the end of the audience, that the ties between the two political forces date back to the national liberation struggle in Angola.
"For us, the MPLA is a party of reference in the struggle for independence in various African countries, especially Angola, a fact which makes us proud," he stressed.
The Polisario Front is a National Liberation Movement of Western Sahara, founded on 10 May 1973.
It fights for the liberation and self-determination of Western Sahara and is recognised internationally as the legitimate representative of the Saharawi people.

In another audience, the Vice-President of the MPLA learnt about the Maternity and Infant Centre built by the Kimbanguist Church, in the neighbourhood of Grafanil, urban district of Estalagem, municipality of Viana, in Luanda.
The spiritual leader of the Kimbanguista Church, Kissolokele Kiangani Paul, said he had requested, during the audience, the asphalting of the access road to the centre.
