Huambo – The 1st secretary of the ruling MPLA party in the province of Huambo, Lotti Nolika, said Saturday that the party has, in this region of the country, the entire electoral machine tuned to win the 2022 general elections.

The party leader was speaking at a rally chaired by MPLA leader João Lourenço in Huambo province.

She stressed that the massive presence of the population at the rally showed unequivocal proof of the affection and unconditional support that Huambo has with the MPLA and with President João Lourenço.

“Mr President, the machine is tuned and the engine is calibrated for the resounding victory of the general elections, scheduled for next August”, said Lotti Nolika.

The 1st secretary of MPLA highlighted, among the main achievements of the last five years, the satellite cities Fernando Faustino Muteka, in the municipality of Caála, available since 2020, with four thousand and one houses, and the one in Halavala, in Bailunco, inaugurated on Friday, with three thousand and five residences.

She considered that the increase in the housing supply, in a universe of seven thousand houses, came to solve, to a large extent, the dream of owning the local population, particularly young people.

The politician also mentioned the construction of a new abstraction, treatment and distribution centre of drinking water, including the expansion of the supply network for this product, the electrification of  Huambo, Caála and Bailundo, from the system interconnected to the Laúca dam, in Malange province.
