Ramiros - The secretary of the MPLA Political Bureau for the reform of the State and local authorities, Mário Pinto de Andrade, urged, this Wednesday, in Luanda, the JMPLA activists to commit themselves to the sustainable development of the country.
When speaking at the opening of the VI ordinary meeting of the JMPLA (ruling party's youth wing) National Committee, the politician highlighted the historical path of the party's youth organization and its active role in the national liberation struggle, in preserving independence and in achieving peace.
For this reason, he recommended young people to support the programs designed by the Executive, for the population's benefit.
“JMPLA must continue to be present and support the sustainable development of the country, contributing to the implementation of the policies outlined by the Executive”, he highlighted.
For his part, the first national secretary of JMPLA, Crispiniano dos Santos, highlighted the importance of digital technologies in mobilizing new activists into the organization's ranks.
“The party created a new department for information and communication technologies and we must take advantage of it to get our leader's message across. It is essential to clarify public opinion, increase citizens’ awareness and win over those who are undecided,” he added.
According to Crispiniano dos Santos, JMPLA continues to be the main instrument of national youth political action, allowing the participation of millions of young people in the country's political life, expressing their desires and opinions through open and constructive dialogue.
Lasting two days, 166 members of the JMPLA National Committee participated in the meeting.
