Luanda - The Proposed General State Budget (OGE) for the financial year of 2023 goes to the final global vote at the 4th Extraordinary Plenary Meeting of the National Assembly (AN), scheduled for 13 February.
The information was released Tuesday to the press by the first secretary of the Bureau of Parliament, Manuel Lopes Dembo.
Manuel Dembo was speaking at the end of the Conference of the leaders of Parliamentary Groups, chaired by the Speaker Carolina Cerqueira.
After the general approval of the document on the January 13, the National Assembly’s specialised working commissions held meetings with the assistants of the Holder of Executive Branch and with the social partners, for due adjustment of the proposed Law.
According to MPs Manuel Lopes Dembo, committees' reports are being drawn up and will serve as the basis for the joint report on the specialty.
The 2023 draft budget has expenditures and revenues estimated at 20.1 billion kwanzas, with the social sector taking 23.9 percent, the largest share.
The budget is calculated according to a reference price of US$75 per barrel of oil and an average oil production of 1.18 million barrels.
