Luanda - The National Assembly on Monday is going to analyse and vote on the Constitutional Revision Law Proposal, with emphasis on the electoral system issue, which advocates the voting of Angolan citizens in the Diaspora.
According to the bill's rapporteur, Virgílio Tyova, who was speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola, the articles related to the ineligibility and impediment of deputies, as well as the Parliament's control and inspection powers, will also be analysed.
Last week, members of parliament and the government agreed to remove the Constitutional Court from the list of members of the Council of the Republic, because, allegedly, "it is a judicial and not a political body.
Initially, the (one-off) Constitutional Revision Bill proposed that the Supreme Court should also be included in this body of consultation of the President of the Republic.
The Draft Law for the Revision of the Constitution, of legislative initiative of the President of the Republic, provides for 28 articles to be amended, six more to be edited and four to be revoked.
Specifically, the diploma foresees, among other points, the clarification of the relationship model between the Holder of the Executive Power and the Parliament, in relation to the political supervision and the right to vote of the Angolans living abroad.
