Luanda – Angolan president João Lourenço announced Tuesday in Luanda that the General Hospital located at Cazenga municipality in the country’s capital Luanda, will be given a facelift.
The president, who was coy on any dates, said although resources still need to be mobilized, the decision for the repair works to be conducted at the hospital is already made and will move forward.
The current situation at the General Hospital, the president said, requires a much bigger intervention than the one currently taking place, which is limited to the operating theatre and the medicine warehouse.
"This alone is not the solution to the state the hospital is in," João Lourenço told the press after a day in the field.
João Lourenço made a field trip to Luanda province early Tuesday, which took him to the Cazenga General Hospital, where he assessed the degree of operation of the hospital, as well as the future Institute of Legal Medicine. VIC/ADR/AMP
