Head of State leaves Benguela returning to Luanda

Benguela - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, left Benguela in the middle of the afternoon, after having worked for a few hours in this Angola's southern coastal province.

In the city of Benguela, the Angolan Head of State, flanked by the first lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, and members of the Government, witnessed the restart of production at the África Têxtil factory.

Located in the Cavaco industrial zone, the factory, which transforms cotton into yarn for multiple uses, has an installed production capacity of 7.3 million bath towels per year and 7.68 million sheets per year.

Before leaving Benguela province, President Lourenço visited the municipality of Baía Farta, where he got acquainted with the construction of the local hospital.

Before returning to Luanda, the Head of Government received, in separate audiences, in the city of Benguela, businesspeople, religious leaders and members of the civil society of the province.
