Luena -Angolan head of State João Lourenço on Friday met with the traditional and religious authorities in Luena, eastern Moxico province, with whom he discussed the social situation in the region.
This was during an audience that enabled the traditional authorities and religious leaders of the province to raised, above all, concerns about the improvement of the roads and the construction of more health units.
After the meeting, Queen Nhakatolo, ruler of the Luvale tribe, said that the President had taken notice of the concerns that were raised, having promised to resolve, shortly, the problem of the access roads.
This concern was also expressed by Mayor Chinuke, who asked the head of State to pay special attention to the National Road (EN) that connects the municipal headquarters of Luau and Cazombo (Alto Zambeze).
The traditional authorities were confident in solving the problem of paving the remaining 176 kilometers, work already carried out on 85 kilometers of this road, which comprises a total of 261 kilometres.
The President of the Republic also received religious authorities, especially the president of the Council of Revival Churches of Angola (CIRA), Bishop Macano Kamuimba, as well as the representative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Pastor Bonifácio Camisa.
During his stay in the region, João Lourenço will carry out several activities, with stress to the mass rally on Saturday, in his capacity as MPLA President, as part of the pre-election campaign.
