Luanda - The minister of Justice and Human Rights, Francisco Queiróz, said on Friday that the new draft laws for the Justice System, recently approved by the Cabinet Council, will boost the functioning of the country's judicial institutions.
Speaking at the end of the first Extraordinary Session of the Cabinet Council, the minister stressed that the documents will define the rules for the functioning of the said institutions.
On the occasion, the minister spoke about the inauguration of the Huila and Benguela courts of appeals, adding that the Luanda one should be opened soon.
In today's session, the Cabinet analyzed - for subsequent submission to the National Assembly (parliament), in the framework of the reform taking place in the justice sector - several law proposals with a view to adapting the respective rules to the current legal-constitutional context.
The goal is to ensure the best realization of the fundamental rights and freedoms of the citizens enshrined in the Constitution.
