Constitutional revision concluded by June

Luanda - The Proposal of Punctual Revision of the Constitution, submitted to the National Assembly by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, may be concluded in June, said Tuesday the rapporteur of the document, MP Virgílio Tchiova.

The deputy was speaking to the press at the end of a consultation process with judicial and economic institutions, civil society and public and private universities, which made contributions for the debate.

"We want the process to be concluded, as soon as possible, and June may be a date, but everything will depend on the dynamics that the National Assembly has in this process," he pointed out.

He considered positive the exercise of the institutional auscultation process, noting that the deputies seized several points that, eventually, may serve to include in the Proposal of Constitutional Revision.

He indicated that the auscultation procedure was expected, after the presentation of the Proposal by the Holder of the Executive Power, since the National Assembly, within the scope of its competencies, may hear other sensitivities around the issue in question.
