Luanda - The Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, defended on Tuesday, in the Brazilian city of Brasilia, the need to implement sustainable and healthy relations between Angola and Brazil in the field of health.
The minister is leading a delegation from the Angolan Ministry of Health, which is on a working visit to Brazil, as part of the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
During a meeting with the Minister of Health of Brazil, Nísia Lima, Sílvia Lutucuta considered the partnership regarding the comprehensive training of specialists to be salutary, with very ambitious goals.
She said that right, safe and fast steps are being taken in the field of research and team training, in order to learn more, replicate good practices and improve the national health system.
In turn, Minister Nílsia Trindade Lima highlighted the excellent moment in relations between the two countries, whose history of cooperation tends to grow in a full and integrated way.
“We have a lot of challenges ahead of us together, we can't make mistakes, and if we make a few mistakes, we must correct them immediately,” he clarified.
Before going to the state of Brasilia, the Angolan minister worked in the city of São Paulo, where she visited the Federal University Hospital, the Heart and Cancer Institutes and the Guarulhos College.
Continuing her journey in Brazil, the minister learned about the operation of the University of Brasília Hospital, the Maternal and Child Hospital, the University of Brasília and the Brazilian Hospital Services Management Company.
